Updates break things
A plugin update changes the checkout or the layout, and you find out when orders stop. Patchstack counted 11,334 new vulnerabilities in the WordPress ecosystem in 2025, and 91% of them were in plugins. Patchstack, 2026
We move your products, customers, orders and every URL that ranks on Google. Payments, Tabby or Tamara, 5% VAT and Arabic are ready before launch, and your current store keeps selling until the switch.

Shopify uses fixed URL patterns such as /products/ and /collections/, so every WooCommerce address changes. Before launch we point each old URL to its new one with a 301 redirect, then crawl both sites to make sure none of them ends in a 404.
An excerpt from a redirect map. Your audit lists every URL on your site, with the ones that bring traffic marked first.
WooCommerce is flexible and cheap to start. Problems show up as the store grows and plugins, hosting and small fixes pile on top of each other.

White Friday, Ramadan and DSF bring your biggest traffic, and that is when shared or undersized hosting slows down. On Shopify, hosting, CDN and scaling come with the plan.
Cards, Apple Pay, Tabby, Tamara and cash on delivery each run on a different plugin, with its own updates and its own support desk.
A translation plugin, an RTL patch in the theme, and two catalogues that drift apart every time someone edits a product.
Years of custom code and plugin settings often live in one freelancer's head. When they are busy, your store waits.
Hosting, premium plugin licences, security, backups and developer hours arrive on separate invoices. We put the full total next to a Shopify budget in the audit.
These are the five questions we hear on almost every first call, and what we do about each one.
“We’ll lose our Google rankings.”
We map every old URL to its new address with a 301 redirect, carry over titles, descriptions and alt text, and crawl both sites before launch. If a mapped URL returns a 404 in the first 90 days, we fix it free.
“Customers will have to reset their passwords.”
Passwords can’t move between platforms. Shopify’s customer accounts use a one-time email code instead, so returning customers just type their email. Their order history is already there.
“The store will go down.”
We build on a separate Shopify store while you keep selling. On launch day we sync the last orders and switch the domain in a quiet hour.
“We’ll lose features we paid for.”
We list every plugin you run and show what replaces it on Shopify: a built-in feature, an app with its monthly price, or a small custom build.
“Shopify fees will eat the margin.”
Shopify Payments is open to UAE stores on Advanced and Plus since August 2026. On other plans a third-party gateway adds a Shopify fee. We run both scenarios on your real order volume.

Most stores are live in 2 to 6 weeks. The schedule depends on how many products you sell and how much custom work your plugins hide.
2 working days
We review your store, plugins, URLs and data, and send a written plan with a fixed price and a launch date.
Week 1 to 2
Shopify store, theme, navigation, payments, shipping, taxes and the automations your team will use, built on a separate store so yours keeps selling.
Week 2 to 3
Products, variants, images, customers, order history, reviews, blog posts and discount codes, with product, customer and order counts checked against WooCommerce.
Week 3
A 301 redirect for every old URL, metadata carried over, structured data in place and a crawl of both sites.
Before launch
Test orders on every payment method, mobile checks in English and Arabic, and a training session for your team.
Launch day + 30 days
Final sync of new orders, domain switch in a quiet hour, sitemap submitted to Google, then monitoring and fixes.
Every package starts with the free audit, so the scope is written down before you pay anything. The price in the proposal is the price you pay for that scope.

Prices exclude 5% VAT. Your Shopify plan, theme licence and paid apps are billed directly by Shopify and the app developers, and the audit lists them in AED. Payment: 50% to start, 50% before launch. After launch, support plans start at AED 4,000 per month.
Both platforms run successful UAE stores. The difference is who carries the maintenance, and how much freedom you need in the code.
| Topic | WooCommerce | Shopify |
|---|---|---|
| Hosting, security and updates | You or your developer run hosting, backups, WordPress and plugin updates. | Included in the subscription. Shopify runs the platform and the checkout. |
| Checkout | Depends on your theme and plugins. | Shopify’s own checkout, maintained by Shopify. Deep changes need Plus. |
| Card payments in the UAE | Gateway plugins such as Network International or Telr. | Shopify Payments on Advanced and Plus, or a third-party gateway with an extra Shopify fee. |
| Tabby and Tamara | Separate plugins. | Separate Shopify apps. |
| Arabic and RTL | Translation plugin and an RTL-ready theme. | Built-in languages with Translate & Adapt and an RTL-ready theme. |
| Costs | Low licence cost. Hosting, premium plugins and developer time add up. | Monthly plan plus apps. Hosting and security included. |
| Flexibility | Full code access. Almost anything can be built. | Fixed URL structure and data model. Extra logic comes from apps. |
| Your data | On your server and database. | Exportable through CSV and the Shopify API. |
If your site is mostly content with a small shop attached, if your checkout relies on logic Shopify does not allow, or if a well-maintained WooCommerce store already costs you less than Shopify plus apps would. The audit tells you which side you are on, and we will say so if staying is the better deal.

“Customer service, professionalism, efficiency: those are the three words I'd use to describe this company.”

With Mobiweb, fixed prices start at AED 7,900 (excluding VAT) for stores with up to 300 products. Stores with up to 3,000 products, an Arabic storefront and Tabby or Tamara usually fit the Growth package at AED 16,900. Large catalogues and ERP or POS integrations start at AED 29,000. Your Shopify subscription, theme licence and any paid apps are billed by Shopify and the app developers, and we list them in your plan.
Two to three weeks for Essentials, four to six weeks for Growth and six to ten weeks for Scale projects. The free audit takes two working days and comes back with a dated plan.
Shopify uses fixed URL patterns such as /products/ and /collections/, so every WooCommerce URL changes. We create a 301 redirect for each old URL, carry over page titles, meta descriptions and image alt text, and crawl the old and new sites before launch to catch broken links. Rankings can move for a few weeks after any platform change, and correct redirects keep that period short. If a URL we mapped returns a 404 in the first 90 days, we fix it free of charge.
No. Passwords are stored as one-way hashes, so no platform can import them from another. New Shopify customer accounts sign in with a one-time code sent by email, so returning customers use the email address they already have. We import their profiles and order history and can send them a short note explaining the change.
Products with variants, images and SEO fields, categories (as collections), customers, order history, product reviews, blog posts, pages, discount codes and URL redirects. Plugin features are code, so they do not move on their own. We map each one to a Shopify feature, an app or a small custom build.
Yes, depending on your plan. On 26 August 2026 Shopify made Shopify Payments available to UAE merchants on the Advanced plan; before that it was limited to Plus. Stores on other plans use a third-party gateway such as Network International, Telr, Checkout.com or Tap, and Shopify charges an extra transaction fee on those orders. We model both options against your monthly sales before you pick a plan.
Yes. Tabby and Tamara connect through their own Shopify apps using your existing merchant agreements. Cash on delivery is a built-in manual payment method in Shopify, and an app can add a COD fee or an order confirmation step if fake orders are a problem.
Every store launches with automations for routine work: new-order and low-stock alerts for your team, and customer tags for repeat buyers. Growth adds cash-on-delivery confirmations and abandoned-checkout follow-ups by email or WhatsApp. Scale connects Shopify to your ERP, accounting or courier, so orders, stock and invoices move without manual entry.
Yes. Shopify supports Arabic storefronts and manages translations through its Translate & Adapt app. The theme also has to support right-to-left layout, which we check before recommending one. In the Growth package we set up the Arabic storefront, translate product content and review it with your team.
No. We build the new store separately while your WooCommerce site keeps taking orders. On launch day we sync the latest orders and customers and then point your domain to Shopify.
Yes. You keep your domain and your registrar. We change only the DNS records that serve the website and leave your email records as they are.
Most UAE stores don't. Basic, Shopify or Advanced covers stores selling up to several thousand orders a month. Plus pays off when you need checkout customisation, wholesale (B2B) features, several stores or very high volume. The audit compares the plans on your own numbers, in AED.
You do. The Shopify store, the domain, the payment gateway and every app subscription are opened in your company's name. We work with staff access that you can remove at any time, and you keep everything if you stop working with us.
No. Shopify does not charge transaction fees on manual payment methods such as cash on delivery. Its extra transaction fee applies to orders paid through a third-party card gateway when Shopify Payments is not active, and we include it in the cost comparison.

No. If your site is mostly content with a small shop attached, or your checkout depends on logic Shopify does not allow, a well-maintained WooCommerce store can be the better choice. The audit tells you which case you are in, and we will tell you if staying is cheaper.
